Obituary

Elder Kinnus Paul, 84, went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2010, peacefully at his home. He was born March 22, 1925, in Freeport, FL. He received his early childhood education in Bonifay, FL. He became a Christian at a very early age.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of 16 beautiful years Sarah L. Paul, eight children, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers, as well as many church family members.

He served as Pastor of Jerusalem Church of God In Christ for 53 years and was emeritus in 2005 due to illness. He also served as Pastor of St. Paul Church of God in Christ for 48 years in Bradley, FL. He served in many capacities throughout his tenure. To name a few: Local President of the Ordination Committee, Chairman to the Superintendent, President of the Ordination Committee, Assistant State President of YPWW, and State President of YPWW.

He also served in many community organizations such as: Boys Sheriff Ranch, Fort Myers Ministerial Assn; Dunbar Kiwanis Club, President of Sabal Palm Neighborhood Assn., and Habitat for Humanity.

Public viewing will be from 5-6 PM followed by a celebration of life service on March 5, 2010 at Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, 2405 Ben St., Fort Myers, FL 33916, phone (239) 334-7780. On Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM on Eastern Florida Jurisdictional Celebration of Life Service will be held at City Community Church, 940 Tarpon St., Fort Myers, FL 33916.
