Scott Kelly, 38, died on August 22, 2011.
Scott was born on January 15, 1973 in LaGrange, Illinois to Maryann and James Kelly.
Scott married Candace Canfield on June 24, 1999 in a beautiful ceremony in Mammee Bay, Jamaica surrounded by family and friends. He was a loving husband and devoted father to his daughters Kaylin (11) and Peyton (8). The family relocated to Fort Myers from the Chicago area in 2004.
Scott had an entrepreneur's spirit and was loved by many. He will truly be missed. He is survived by his wife Candace, daughters Kaylin and Peyton, parents Jim and Maryann; brother Sean (Maureen) Kelly; in-laws Alan and Patricia Canfield; Aunt/uncle Tom and Carol Stempniak; brothers-in -law Alan (Lillian) Canfield; Andrew (Diana) Canfield; nieces Brittany, Paige, Giana; nephews Joseph and Austin; many loving cousin and numerous friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 6:00 pm at the Next Level Church, 12400 Plantation Road, Ft Myers, FL. Followed by a celebration of Scott's life at The Edison located at 3583 McGregor Blvd., Ft Myers, FL . Scott will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you consider donations to the David Lawrence Center, 2806 South Horseshoe Drive, Naples, FL 34104

I think of Scott and Candace often as they were my neighbors for several years. During that time Scott showed respect and thoughtfulness to us many times. Always thoughtful - asking how we were and do we need anything. I very much enjoyed Scott. Loving thoughts to Candance and her daughters.

Words never come close to the pain that is felt by those left behind. I wanted to tell you that I remember Scott and his relationship with my brother (who also left too soon).
