CATHERINE (CATIE) F. WOLFRUM

Catherine (Catie) F. Wolfrum, beloved wife of John (Jack) H. Wolfrum, passed away peacefully on May 31st, with her family at her side.

Originally from Newburgh, New York, Catie graduated from Mount St. Mary's Academy in Newburgh, and Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut. Catie and Jack met and married when they were both working at New York Telephone in Newburgh. They settled in North Greenbush, New York and raised their family. Catie was a devoted mother to Jacqueline of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Kathleen of Ft. Myers, Florida, John Jr. of Ipswich, Massachusetts, Edward of Lakewood, Colorado and Amy (Todd) of North Adams, Massachusetts and a loving grandmother to Harrison and Hudson Todd and Molly and Grace Wolfrum.

Catie was a parishioner of St. Michael's Church of Troy, New York, where she taught CCD for over 20 years. After moving to Ft. Myers in 2001, Catie and Jack were among the founding families of Blessed Pope John XXIII Catholic Church.

Catie will also remain in the hearts of her sisters Virginia (Hubbard) and her husband Richard of Tonawanda, New York, Margaret (Murphy) and her husband Paul of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Mary (Spreer) of Voorheesville, New York, her son-in-law Eric Todd, her daughter-in-law Carolyn Wolfrum, John Jr.'s companion Nancy Bartlett and her daughters Cory and Emily, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her parents Walter and Anna Flynn, her brother Walter and her sisters Jane and Ann.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 10:00 am at Blessed Pope John XXIII Catholic Church, 13060 Palomino Lane, Fort Myers, FL 33912. Burial will follow in the Memorial Garden of the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Building Fund of Blessed Pope John XXIII.

An additional Memorial Service will be held later in June at St. Michael's Church, Troy, New York.
