Prof. Disnay, as I named him while a graduate student in Ann Arbor, was a dedicated teacher and research director. I owe him a lot in the preparation of my academic career. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Ralph was a frequent guest at our house when I was growing up, as he and my dad (Richard C Wilson) were close colleagues. I always enjoyed his visits-- he was bright, kind and funny in his interactions with me as a child. My sincere condolences to the family on the loss of this great man.

Ralph was our neighbor in Fort Myers. We so enjoyed talking with him, and occasionally we shared a meal together. He certainly was the epitome of a 'gentle man' and we will miss him in our southern neighborhood. Our thoughts are with your family.

Lynn and Carrie,
I'm sad for you, hearing that your father died. I never knew him personally, but was glad to have a chance to read this excellent historical obituary about his life. I hope his grandchildren appreciate what a remarkable man he was. Wishing comfort to you and yours at this sad time, Lee Hefner
