June F. Griest, 89 of Weatherford, TX, died peacefully Wednesday, March 15, 2017. June was born June 20, 1927, to William and Florence Taylor in Ironwood, MI, and was one of four children. After high school graduation in Flint, MI, she began working at Arctic Sealtest Dairy and continued working until her retirement in 1982 from General Motors. June and husband, Bob Griest, moved to Matlacha Isles, FL, where they enjoyed 7 wonderful years together. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Survivors: two daughters, Peg Kempa-Reedy, Gayle Scott; four grandchildren, Amy Wells (husband, Justin), Lane Kempa (wife, Rosa), Christopher Hunter (wife, Amilia), and Robert Hunter; dear niece, Roberta Proehl; brother-in-law Wes Syerson (wife, Diana); and 5 great-grandchildren.
June is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Griest; brothers Leston and Richard Taylor; and sister, Dorothy Gustafson.
