FRANCES BOSIGER Obituary
Frances Schwitzerlett Bosiger, age 89, of 205 S Franklin Blvd. died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at Gretna Health & Rehab.
Born Jun. 4, 1921, in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Thomas Schwitzerlett and Mary Mayhew Schwitzerlett. Frances was married to the late Meredith Algernon Bosiger. She was predeceased by a son, Jerry W. Bosiger; three brothers, Sammy Schwitzerlett, Berkley B. Schwitzerlett and Quinby Schwitzerlett.
She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and retired from Burlington Industries following 32 years of service. Mrs. Bosiger loved cooking, and was an avid flower gardener, receiving the Gretna Garden Club "Yard of the Month" several times.
She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Wells and husband, John, of Gretna; one brother, Phillip Schwitzerlett and his wife, Jeanne, of Greensboro, N.C.; four sisters-in-law, Shirley Schwitzerlett of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Ann Schwitzerlett of Milton, Fla., Edna Midkiff of Gretna and Annie Burnette of Gretna; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by the Rev. Harold Thornton and Phillip Schwitzerlett. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence 205 S Franklin Blvd., Gretna.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Elevator Fund at Zion United Methodist Church, 2909 Boxwood Road, Gretna, VA 24557

Charlotte and John, I am so sorry for your loss. I just came back in town and did not know about your Mother until today. No one called me. I saw the Obit. I am sorry I was not there yesterday. She was a great lady and I know you will miss her. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. Take care and I hope to see you soon.
