Harold Morgan

Bell Sr.

Harold Morgan Bell Sr., age 85, of 5875 Covered Bridge Road, Gladys died Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born Aug. 21, 1925, in Campbell County, he was a son of the late William Bell and Mary Ella Hall Bell. He was predeceased by his wife, Cathryn Marie Jennings Bell and a son, Timothy Mark Bell. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Bell was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church and the co-owner/operator of H.M. & LE. Bell Logging.

He is survived by three sons, Harold Morgan Bell Jr., of Lynchburg, Ricky Bell and his wife, Evelyn, of Gladys, and John Bell and his wife, Holly, of Gladys; three brothers, Ed Bell, Paul Bell, and David Bell; four sisters, Ruth Hartman, Aileen Shirlen, Becky Mitchell, and June Colbert; four grandchildren, Justin Bell and his wife, Shannon, Devon Bell, Cody Bell, and Amanda Bell; and a great-grandchild, Madyson Bell.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Terry Wiler. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery Fund, 2635 Tabor Road, Gladys, VA 24554.
