Patricia Baber Kidd

Patricia Baber Kidd, 67, of Madison Heights passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at her residence. She was the loving wife of the late Frank E. Kidd, Jr.

Born Jan. 18, 1943, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Eugene M. Baber and Lucille McCraw Baber. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Barry L. Woody and grandson, David E. Woody.

Patricia was a loving mother and grandmother who retired from Crestar Bank with over 35 years of service and was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed art work and was a member of the Amherst Arts Society and Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her first husband, Leonard L. Woody Jr. who is the father of their three children, Angela W. Robertson and husband, Daniel, Christopher S. Woody and wife, Angela, of Lynchburg, and Dana E. Jones and husband, Christopher, of Madison Heights; six grandchildren, Anna, Lillie, Sammy, Angelina, Allie, and Aiden; a brother, Michael G. Baber and wife, Patricia, of Forest; three step-children, Jackie Wilkerson and husband, Scott and family, Vickie Hudson and family, Ricky Kidd and family all of Madison Heights; a special friend and devoted caregiver, James Wright, of Madison Heights; and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 3, 2010, at Temple Baptist Church in Madison Heights by Pastor J. D. Surbaugh with burial to follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service time at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Patricia to Temple Baptist Church, P.O. Box 970, Madison Heights, VA 24572 or a charity of your choice.
