George Allen Scott

George Allen Scott of Lynchburg, departed this life on Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at the Lynchburg Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on May 27, 1936 to the late Starling and Mary W, Scott.

George was retired from Showalter Inc.

He leaves to mourn three sisters, Mrs. Frances Allen of Rustburg, Mrs. Lucy Raven, Mrs. Jeanette Davis and one brother Mr. Alphonso Scott (Janie) all of Evington. He also is survived by step sisters Mrs. Vastine Payne (the Rev. Raymond) of Evington and Mrs. Mary Mickles of Rustburg, Mrs. Hassie West (James) and Mrs. Edna Bryant (Leon) of Flint Michigan, one step brother Mr.Carey Herndon of Evington, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at Franklin-Hutcherson Funeral Home in Lynchburg. The Rev. Raymond Payne, Eulogist and the Rev. William Coleman officiating.

Interment in Cross Road Memorial Gardens in Evington. Franklin-Hutcherson Funeral Home is serving the family.

The family and friends will assemble at the funeral home for the service at 1:45 p.m.
