Charlotte Bryant

St. John, 81, of Lynchburg, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Clide Thomas

St. John.

Born Aug. 3, 1929, in Amherst County, she was a daughter of the late Walter Carlyle and Viola Evans Bryant. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Madison Heights and the Sonshiners.

She is survived by a son, Rev. Terry Clay St. John, and wife, Holly, of Chatham, a daughter, Marsha St. John Clements, and husband, Rev. Kyle, of Orange, a sister, Patsy Crutcher, of Suffolk, six grandchildren, Justin

St. John and wife, Rachel, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Jordan and Tara St. John, of Lynchburg, Jared St. John, of Chatham, Adam Clements and wife, Sharon, of Palmyra, and Carson Freeman, of Orange; and three great-grandchildren, Chloe Freeman, Jaden and Raegan St. John.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010 at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. J. D. Surbaugh, Rev. Terry St. John and Rev. Kyle Clements officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. Monday, Oct. 4, 2010 at Temple Baptist Church.
