Verline Pribble Obituary
Verline Annette Pribble 71, of Evington died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. Born April 15, 1939, in Campbell County daughter of the late, Huty A. and Rena Hall Pribble. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Virgil D. Pribble and one sister, Violet P. Akers.
She was a member of Penuel Baptist Church. Verline was employed by General Electric for a number of years. She is survived by one brother, Houston G. Pribble; three sisters, Patricia P. Powell and husband, Willard, Lida C. Pribble and Cassie P. Rice and husband, Ryland all of Evington; a number of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to all of Verline's care givers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Penuel Baptist Church, 2770 Wards Road, Altavista, VA 24517 or American Stroke Association, 7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas TX 75231.
A celebration of Verline's life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Penuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Carlton Gunter officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Diuguid Funeral Home & Crematory Waterlick and other times at the home of Lida Pribble 1806 Chapel Grove Rd. Evington.

I am so sorry to hear of Verline's death. I had heard she was in the hospital and not at Autumn Care anymore. Lida and Cassie, I know how much you loved your sister and I want you to know you are in our prayers. I know Mama will miss all 3 of you.
