Roger Richards Obituary
Roger Craig Richards, 70, of Lynchburg, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born Feb. 12, 1940, in Beckley, W.Va., he was the son of the late Harry Norris and Frances Ballard Richards.
Roger is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Briles and Rhonda Richards, both of Madison Heights; two sons, Randy Craig Richards, of Rustburg, and Russell Richards, of Lynchburg; two brothers, Ronald N. Richards and Harry F. Richards, both of Lynchburg; nine grandchildren, Amanda Jennings, Cody Jennings, Dustin Craig Richards, Logan Daniel Richards, Dakota Young Richards, Lauren Branham, Javier Aviles, Rusty Aviles and Onie Hamilton; and four great-grandchildren; and the love of his life, Faye Dunn.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.

Sorry to hear of Roger's death. My condolences to all the family members--especially Becky, Rhonda, Randy, Russell, Freddy, Ronnie and Fay.
I remember back in the late 70's or early 80's when Roger was on Main Street in Lynchburg and his car broke down. He poured gasoline on the carburetor and it caught fire. He took off his shirt to put the fire out. He really loved you kids.
