Ralph Leon

Anderson Jr.

Ralph Leon Anderson Jr., 62, of Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy Anderson.

Ralph was born on Dec. 16, 1947, in Lynchburg, a son of the late Jean Belle and Ralph Anderson Sr. He worked as a laminator operator with Rock-Tenn Papermill. He was a member of Jordan Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Leon Anderson.

Along with his wife Nancy, Ralph is survived by son, Timothy Leon Anderson, and his wife Jessica; his daughter, Tara Lynne Anderson Dill; his five grandchildren: Brittany Dill, Hayley Dill, Alexis Anderson, Kristopher Anderson, and Kody Anderson; his sister, Brenda Byrnes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at 12 p.m. at Jordan Baptist Church with Pastor Melvin Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and other times at the home of his daughter.
