Bransford Camden Obituary

Bransford Sam Camden
Bransford Sam Camden, 91, of Madison Heights, passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006.
He was the son of the late Samuel Bransford Camden and Maggie Raikes Camden.
Bransford was a lifetime member of Madison Heights Baptist Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II, a member of T. Wylie Davis Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Woodmen of the World Camp 7 and a retiree of Strother Drug Company.
He is survived by his wife, Beryl Burton Camden; a son, Davy G. Camden and wife, Jackie, of Madison Heights; grandsons, Shane Camden and wife, Leslie and Brett Camden; granddaughter, Kaitlin Camden; and one great-grandson, Aiden Scott Camden.
Survivors also include two sisters, Margaret C. Mays and husband, Pershing, of Madison Heights and Louise C. Barnes and husband, Stephen, of Boulder, Colo.; and many devoted and caring nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Wilmer Camden, Harry Camden and Howard Camden; three sisters, Minnie C. Banton Irvin, Jesse C. Williams and Hazel C. Walton.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Madison Heights Baptist Church, by Dr. Timothy Madison. Interment will take place in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Whitten Monelison Chapel and other times at the residence.
