Bessie Anne Trent, 69, of Lynchburg, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at her home. She was the loving wife of Edward M. Trent for 45 years.

Bessie was born Oct. 22, 1940, in Pamplin, the daughter of the late Howard and Minnie Ferguson Glover. She was an avid animal lover, especially her "Precious." Bessie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Audrey Lee, and her husband, Dell, of Bedford; a granddaughter, Lindsey Pyzik, and her husband, Bradley, of Lynchburg; a grandson, Brandon Lee, of Bedford; a great-grandson, Avery Pyzik; a sister, Elnora Fitzgerald, and her husband, Marion, of Madison Heights; two brothers-in-law, Clyde Trent and his wife, Lee, of Slidell, La., and Robert Trent and his wife, Roseann, of Forest; and a sister-in-law, Annette Eisenberg, of Canyon Country, Calif.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, Oct. 19, 2010, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, in the chapel at Tharp Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
