Henry 'Blair' Johnson
The Angels of Mary called his son, Henry "Blair" Johnson home on March 4, 2007, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on June 10, 1927, to the late Henry Spencer Johnson and Deloris Rucker Johnson.
He attended Amherst County High School. He left Amherst County to live in Alexandria after his sister, Cora Mays took sick and he later moved back to Amherst County after her death.
He is survived by one sister-in- law, Carlita Johnson of Portsmouth; two very devoted nephews, Bishop David Slaughter of Madison Heights and George L. Slaughter of Lynchburg; other nephews and nieces; a devoted friend, Thurman Garland of Lynchburg; and many other wonderful relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Community Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop David Slaughter officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Monroe.
The cortege will assemble at the funeral home.
