Alicia Humbles Obituary

Alicia Diwa Humbles

Alicia Diwa Humbles departed this life Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born Feb. 23, 1963, to the late Fernando Diwa and Amancia C. Diwa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers.

Alicia is survived by her husband, Ernest Humbles Jr.; two sons, Paul John Diwa and Jeremiah J. Humbles; daughter, Natasha J. Humbles; three sisters; five brothers; father and mother-in-law, the Rev. and Minister Ernest T. Humbles Sr.; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, with the Rev. Warren Napier officiating. Interment will be in the Humbles Family Cemetery, Appomattox. Her remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family is receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today, July 2, 2010, at Community Funeral Home and other times at 7538 Village Highway, Concord. The cortege will assemble at 7538 Village Highway.
