Riley Emerson Wright

Riley Emerson Wright, 58, of Brookneal, passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Mr. Wright was born Feb. 25, 1952, in South Boston a son of Mattie Jones Wright of Brookneal and the late Josh Emerson Wright. He was a former employee of Thompson Trucking.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Stacey Childers and husband, Ian, of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Haleigh Nicole, Kaitlyn Riley and Collin Matthew, all of Lynchburg; five brothers, Jerry Wright (Debra), of Brookneal, Timmy Wright (Brenda), of Naruna, Dean Wright (Shirley), of Halifax, Ray Wright (Rita), of Naruna, and Teddy Wright (Crystal), of Brookneal; four sisters, Gloria Roach, Alene Davis, Jean Nichols, all of Brookneal, and Joan Stanley (Glen), of Scottsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 9, 2010, at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Keith Williams with interment to follow in Childrey Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Jerry and Debra Wright, Wickliffe Road, Brookneal.

I just found out we are having a granddaughter. Her name will be Elizabeth Riley White! So many wonderful memories of My cousin Riley! We love and miss him!

Thanks to all who were able to come to his funeral, i know the obituary was in there the same day so a lot of people that wanted to come didnt know...I think of him all day-everyday, i'll miss him deeply. he was a great man w/ such a kind heart and to him I was his baby girl..Dad i miss u so much, i know u were down for a long time but nothing can prepare any1 for the death of a parent, again thanks becky and i love u! I know you're in nomore pain dad, I'd give anything to give u a big hug just 1 more time,I know ur right beside me, taking care of me as u would have down here, but you're up above in peace now and can watch over me and i feel more safe now than i ever have....love u and miss u ALWAYS..your daughter, Stacy<3
