Robert Dunnam Obituary

Robert A. "Bobby" Dunnam Robert Alexander "Bobby" Dunnam II, of Spout Spring, died Tuesday morning November 29, 2011 at his residence. He was the husband of Mildred Jean Franklin Dunnam. Bobby was born in Lynchburg on September 13, 1938 a son of Mrs. Marie Moore Dunnam of Lynchburg and the late Robert Alexander Dunnam. He was a retired employee of Lynchburg Foundry with 38 years' service and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. He loved his grandchildren, traveling, his cats, fishing and hunting. Bobby was a charter member of the Sugar Shack and champion of the 1st Annual Setback Championship. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Robert A. "Bob" Dunnam, III and wife Batina of Spout Spring; Christopher L. Dunnam of Forest and Shelby D. Tweedy and her husband Bob of Supply, NC; his grandchildren, Tiffany D. Phelps and Dane; Kate Tweedy, Michael Tweedy, Robert A. Dunnam, IV and Papa's special little friend, Joslyn Reel; his brother, Herbert Carlton Dunnam and his wife Diana of Forest; his sisters, Sue Kofeldt and her husband, Bill; Gene Dunnam all of Lynchburg; and Nida Finch and her husband, Keith of Evington; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to acknowledge and express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Michael Valentine and the Cardiology Staff at Centra Health and Hospice of the Hills. Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Evergreen Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Chris King. Burial will follow in Spout Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Evergreen Baptist Church from 6-7:30 PM tonight (Wednesday) and at other times at the residence.
