I have known Mr. Thompson for many years now. We met in a little place we both loved to eat called the Country Kitchen. Him and Patrick ate there just about everyday. I always looked forward to seeing him there. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. He would always brighten your day. I will miss seeing him there very much, but I will smile and think of him and Patrick everytime that I am enjoying some of Bill's home cooking. Patrick and Dale, you and your family are in my prayers.

Uncle Vernon was always my favorite Uncle. I will always remember his endless acts of kindness, jokes, laughter, and especially his genuine caring and loving heart. May the sorrow that we feel in our Hearts give way to Peace and Comfort from the "Eternal Illumination of God's Love." Vernon left "footprints" on our hearts, and now he is embraced in the loving arms of Jesus. Heaven has been made even nicer with its' new angel Vernon E. Thompson. We will meet you, my dear loving Uncle and Birthday Buddy, in the "Grand Reunion"

Love always , your loving neice,
Donna T. Tyree, Earl, and Jeff

As a friend of my father, I did not know Mr. Thompson well. But I did know him good enough to know that he was a loving, caring, generous, and greatly loved man who brightened every life that he touched. I know that he loved his sons and his grandchildren dearly, and I believe that he thought of my dad as one of his own as well. He lived a good life, had wonderful friends, and wonderful family. I feel blessed to have gotten the chance to meet him and share a bit of my life with him. I am certain that he is resting in God's arms now, preparing to be an even greater angel in heaven than he was on Earth. I pray for the family and loved ones of Mr. Thompson May you all be able to find peace during this difficult time, and may God bless each and everyone of you! ~Jodie Elliott, and Family.
