I have known Mr. Thompson for many years now. We met in a little place we both loved to eat called the Country Kitchen. Him and Patrick ate there just about everyday. Uncle Vernon was always my favorite Uncle. I will always remember his endless acts of kindness, jokes, laughter, and especially his genuine caring and loving heart. As a friend of my father, I did not know Mr. Thompson well. But I did know him good enough to know that he was a loving, caring, generous, and greatly loved man who brightened every life that he touched.
