WILMA COLEMAN Obituary

Welma Taylor Coleman

Welma Taylor Coleman, 75, of Heights School Rd., Pamplin, and formerly of Gladstone died Dec. 1, 2010, in Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles Preston Coleman.

Born in Buckingham County, on Oct. 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John Alexander and Louise Ewers Taylor. Welma was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church until she moved to Pamplin and joined Spring Creek Baptist Church where she loved singing in the Senior Choir.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Coleman Carwile and husband, Gerald, of Pamplin; one brother, George B. Taylor and wife, Joyce, of Concord; three grandchildren, Michelle Carwile Foster and husband, Paul, Charles Alan Carwile and wife, Mary Beth both of Pamplin, and John Andrew Carwile and wife, Samantha, of Appomattox; and four great-grandchildren, Charles Sebastian Foster, Landon Paul Foster, Kaysen Marie Carwile and Hayden Sawyer Carwile all of Pamplin.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, in the Taylor Family Cemetery, Buckingham. The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today, Friday, Dec. 3, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Spring Creek Baptist Church Music Fund, 918 Darlington Heights Rd., Cullen, VA 23934 or the Pamplin Volunteer Fire and EMS, PO Box 1099, Pamplin, VA 23958.
