Dear Daddy, Oh how my heart aches! Although, grieving beyond measure for the loss that I feel, I am so thankful to our heavenly father that I was able to spend the last 34 days of your life here on earth telling you how much I love you and reminiscing of days gone by. I am most thankful that you are residing in a much better place, no sadness, no ailments. I am sure that just beyond the pearly gates, our Heavenly Father had cake waiting with your name on it (with a side of ice cream)! He even knew which side of the cake to put that ice cream on! I can't wait for the day that I see you again, until then just know that I will carry out the work that you have set forth for me and I will honor you and your memory. You were a wonderful and loving Dad. I am so blessed and honored to be your daughter.

Mike, Shelley & Family - I am so sorry to hear of the passing of JR. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Below is a verse that helped me so much when I lost my mother, I hope that it will ease your sadness during this difficult time.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say but first of all, to let you know that I arrived ok. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above, here there are no more tears of sadness, here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I am out of sight, remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and said "I WELCOME YOU".

I was really sad to see the notice of JR's passing. When I first started the ICT Program at Gar-Field High School in 1967, Jr was one of my favorite students. He was a great addition to the program and one of the best advocates for it. I was proud of him when he finished school and later went into business for himself. I was a regular customer at his station in Dale City until I retired, and left the area. Even after Gar-Field moved to Dale City, I could always count on JR for help with students when they needed work. He will be missed by the community.

Dad, I know you are in a better place now. I am sad that you are gone, who will I talk to about football? Or call when something goes wrong with my car?? But I know that you are no longer in pain, and you are dancing to "The Twist" in heaven with Grandpa, Patty, Sadie, and Vicki...that's how I will remember you, happy and healthy. That's how it will always be...Until we meet again...I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART!!!!
