I hope Dorothy’s light continues to shine in all who she touched in some way and that her life’s work – the welfare of youth – live on forever. Find the good in others and be tolerant even if you don’t agree with them. I think Dorothy lived by that rule. Rest in peace dear sister. Your light has been passed on and it will continue to live in others.

Dorothy will be missed by our family and my teenage son, whom she has helped by remaining constant and caring with her optimism and expert counseling for the past year as his probation officer. I'll always remember Dorothy talking with younger, inexperienced court officials before a hearing one day. They were talking about all those "bad kids" that were given a second chance on probation, and Dorothy spoke up and said, "Let me tell you about how many of my kids have gone on to be success stories." I'll always love her for that. Our prayers to her family and please know she is in heaven now looking down on all of us and "her kids." God Bless Your Family.

Dorthy was a great listener to individuals of all ages... Especially the young troubled youth that she helped in the court system. She gave of herself in a very unselfish way. When she descibed the child that she was trying to help, she never called the child a "Bad Kid" instead she described the good qualites of the child and remain optimistic about the child's ability to change his or her life...
