Edgar Corey Obituary
Edgar Thomas Corey Edgar Thomas Corey, age 83, of Woodbridge, passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, with his family by his side at Potomac Hospital.
Edgar was a Vietnam War veteran and retired from the Army after 20 years of service. He was a draftsman by trade and enjoyed painting, wood-carving, sculpting and sleight of hand. He also loved being close to nature an caring for animals in need.
Born March 26, 1927, in Whitefish, Montana, he was the son of the late Edgar R. Corey and Dorothya Shryock. Also preceding him in death was his stepmother, Mirtie Henson Corey.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lillian; his daughters, Renate Halina Carr and her husband, Daniel, Lillian Ursula Bivens and her husband, Ronnie and his granddaughters Rebecca Monica Frank and Renate Halina Holt.
Services will be held at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Wood-bridge, on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. with family receiving friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery. Arrangements by
