John Gill Obituary
Mr. Gill was born August 10, 1937 in Washington, D.C. son of the late Clarence P. and Mary L. (Kettner) Gill.
Survivors include four children, John W. "Billy" Gill and wife Tomilea, Christopher T. Gill and wife Penny, Edye Jordan and husband John and Greg A. Gill and wife Heidi and their mother, Jessie Gill; three sisters, Grace Simpkins, Joyce Reeves and Mary Lou McGee; one brother, Donald Gill; five grandchildren, Rachel Gill, Megan Gill, Andrew Jordan, Ellie Jordan and Arthur Gill and five grand Dogs, Solo, Paris, Peggy, Nick and Martha.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2010 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010 with Rev. Steve Swartzendruber officiating. Interment will follow at Merrifield Cemetery, Falls Church, Virginia. Condolences may be sent to www.piercefh.com.

I didn't get to know you until God gave me a roomate in the Commonwealth Care Center when I needed encouragement the most. You provided that encouragement and I came to love you as a brother. The whole family got to know you during that time and all of them loved you. May God comfort the family at this time and let John know that the Sluss Family are deeply saddened by his death but are pleased that he doesn't have to hurt anymore. The Sluss Family

So sorry to learn of John's passing. We were classmates at the old Osbourn High School in Manassas (1957). I pray our Lord will encompass you with His comfort and strength during these days and beyond as only He can do.
