Laura Alene Lehman Laura Alene Lehman, age 82 of Manassas, Virginia, died Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Gainesville Health & Rehab Center.

Laura was born November 1, 1917 in Gillett, Arkansas, daughter of the late Gottfried and Anna (Frank) Lehman. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Manassas where she was very active in the choir and crafts. She was an avid traveler and had retired from the Department of the Army.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Edna Lehman and two brothers, Henry Lehman and Wilmer Lehman.

Survivors include one sister, Mildred Mauck and husband Charles of Manassas, Virginia; five nieces, Joan Shaver and husband Mike of Abingdon, Virginia, Shirley Soetekouw and husband Fred of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Annette Fortier and husband Larry of Bealeton, Virginia, Marjie Cooper and husband Rick of Newport, North Carolina and Charlene Shepard and husband Steve of Manassas, Virginia; five great nieces and four great nephews; two great great nephews and one great great niece.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 5, 2010 at Hope Lutheran Church, 10391 Sudley Manor Drive, Manassas with Rev. Richard Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of flowers, or contributions to Hope Lutheran Church, Manassas, Virginia, Lutheran Hour Ministries, 660 Mason Ridge Center Dr., St. Louis, MO 63141-8557, LCMS World Mission, 1333 S. Kirkwood Road, St. Louis, MO 63122-7295 or a charity of your choice.
