And the Raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing farther then he uttered-not a feather then he fluttered-
Till I scarcely more than muttered "Other friends have flown before-
On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before."
Then the bird said "Nevermore."

David A. Lehman, age 60, of Weaverville, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville, North Carolina.
David moved through life with a natural wonder and a searching heart. His impressive collection of master's degrees and certifications were never pursuits of prestige, but the outgrowth of a curiosity that knew no bounds. He felt joy in understanding something more completely; grasping the nuances, seeing how ideas fit together and what truths it points toward.
David was a man of faith, in a way that was grounded, honest, and unpretentious. His relationship with God was thoughtful and deeply personal, shaped as much by his questions as by his convictions. From that genuine faith flowed a life of service. As a pastor, he crafted sermons that were rich, educational, and inspiring, leading you toward a deeper communion with others and the divine. His conviction was not theoretical, it moved his hands as much as his heart. He created and led discipleship programs, rebuilt homes, and provided assistance for the underserved, and established a center for worship in Las Vegas, so that hope and reprieve could take root in places where it was needed most. Everything he did felt like an offering, a reflection of the goodness God had placed within him.
David's playful spirit made ordinary moments unexpectedly fun. He had a humor that was as sharp as it was sly, the dry kind that always left you laughing before you realized why. It came across in sideways comments and quick remarks that showed he was present and paying attention. Through his compassion, his silliness, and the intention he offered when counseling others, David made a profound impact on countless lives.
He is survived by many, who love him deeply.
