Marcella M. Reid Marcella M. Reid, age 92, of Lake Ridge, Virginia died on January 4, 2011 at Potomac Hospital.

Marcy lived a long and rich life as a school teacher, a devoted wife and mother. Born in New York City in 1918, she lived in Brooklyn and on Long Island until 1968 when, with her husband and children, she moved to Virginia. She lived in both Fairfax and Prince William Counties. Marcy is preceded in death by her husband, William F Reid, and will be laid to rest with him at Quantico National Cemetery.

Marcy is survived by her daughter Marcy Pustorino and her husband, Ernie with whom she lived; sons Paul and his wife, Betsy; Bill and his wife, Sue; and Anthony and his wife, Sue; ten grand children and one great granddaughter.

A service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 18825 Fuller Heights Road, Triangle, VA 22172. The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 7 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, VA 22192-4222.

The family requests no flowers because of allergy concerns. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to ACTS (Action in Community Through Service), PO Box 74, Dumfries, VA 22026.

Marcella was 92 not 82. She lived long enough to see her first great grandchild, Sophia. She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great grand daughter, son- and daughters-in-law, and 4 nieces in her final days in the hospital. She led a good life. She will be missed.
