McClellan Family: Bob and I went to school together and played together as kids. Our families were close, and my brothers had your dad/grand dad, Joe, in classes at Summit High. Your grandmother and my mom were very good friends. Bob and I corresponded when he was Vietnam and I was serving in the Navy. I just simply will add my heartfelt condolences. He was a great guy...a quiet and effective leader. Harvey Snyder, Arlington.

Rob and Cherie, Bettye and I are proud to have known Bob, both as a young lieutenant and later, as a proud veteran of the 1/12th CAV (ABN) attending our Reunions. He was a splendid soldier and leader. The fact that of all the officers who served in 65 - 67, he was one of four who continued to take a personal interest in the troops he served through the years stands out as a shining example of his character, and of the respect and the reason that the soldiers of Charlie CO hold him is such regard. I look forward to seeing you and your family in Febrary. God Bless you and yours.

We do not know each other, but 50 years ago I knew your Dad at Summit High School, where he was one of the good guys. Moreover, I knew his father. One of the very, very best teachers I ever had. PAD--Problems of American Democracy. Both of these men were just terrific. My condolences.

Rob, Salome, and Cherie,
You are in our hearts and our prayer for your strength and healing.
Your father was an amazing person I always looked up to him when I was a child. He was very brave and did not brag about his accomplishments in the service. We are thankful for his service over the years. Keep him in your hearts and remember the good times you shared. love, Susan Cox Dobbs, Canton, GA
