I am so saddened by the loss of my special Uncle Carlo ~ who was such a wonderful brother (to my Dad), father, grandfather, & uncle! The strength, love & joy he shared with the entire SanGiovanni family through all of the generations was admirable and deeply felt at every family gathering. His strong spirit will continue to be felt and shared amongst all members of our family forever, and in all of the special family memories we share from the past, like our SanGiovanni / Castellano Thanksgivings, as well as family weddings / anniversaries / graduations / birthdays and in new memories that we will share together ; ) To my wonderful, Aunt Barbara, and all of my dear Cousins ~ I am hopeful you are able to find peace and comfort in the thoughts, prayers, and love of your family & friends - and from the grace of our Lord above - in the days, weeks, and months to come. In memory of my loving Godfather, Uncle Carlo: When Mom chose you to be my Godfather, she wanted to be sure that she would share her first loving family with her family in marriage. You have always been in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers. I remember spending a week each summer (through my late elementary and early high school years) with you and Aunt Barbara. Growing up as part of the SanGiovanni family Uncle Carlo was like my older brother, he always treated me as a tag along younger brother no to close but near enough for me to learn values of life. The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
