He was an important and positive influence in my life as a Scoutmaster of Troop 656. I have many fond memories of the time I spent with him at Camp Onteora for summer camp, Senior Patrol meetings at his home, so many camping trips all over place, our big hiking trip to Philmont in New Mexico in 1980, and helping me on the path to achieve the rank Eagle Scout. I know I could never have done any those things without him. He gave his time so willingly to the boys of his troop. He was an example to us of how one person could mean so much to so many people in his life.
