Anita Kelly Obituary

KELLY - Anita, of Stewart Manor, NY died on December 12, 2011 at home. She was born on November 20th, 1913 in midtown New York City. She is predeceased by her husband John and daughters Diane Lynott and Claire Nash, and grandchildren Daniel James Mohen, Suzanne Mohen, and great grandchildren Connor Michael Kelly, Connor Joseph Mohen, four sisters and a brother. Anita is survived by her brother Edward, her three sons, four daughters, thirty nine grandchildren and eighty four great grandchildren. The wake will be at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home at 506 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park, NY 11040 Tuesday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 pm. www.nhpfh.com. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday December 14 at 10 A.M. at St. Anne's R.C. Church in Garden City. Anita had one hundred and thirty two (132) descendants. Her living descendants include: Daughter: Virginia Mohen, her husband Joseph and their children Joseph, Thomas, Timothy, James, Christopher, Anne Mohen Murray,Daniel, Brian, Kerry Cashin, and Sean, and the Mohen grandchildren Joseph, Kelly and Matthew Mohen, Katherine, Colleen and Shannon Mohen, Jacquelyn, Kyle and Jessica Mohen, Robert, Elizabeth, Michael and Samantha Mohen, Margaret, and Christopher Mohen, Zachariah, Zoe Murray and Maximillian Mohen-Murray, Ryan, Brendan, Dylan Mohen, Caitlin, Jack, Liam, Malachy, and Marie Mohen, Fiona, Colin and Devon Cashin. Son: Richard Kelly and his wife Joan and their children Brendan, Darrin and Deirdre Kelly and their grandchild Finnan Gahl Kelly. Daughter Eileen and her husband Richard Bohan and their children Richard, Michael, Peter, John, Eileen Kelly, Maureen Hickey, Anne Roeder, and Kevin Bohan and the grandchildren Richard and Erin Bohan, Matthew, Ethan, Michael, Peter Bohan, Richard, Ryan, Liam, Dylan and Connor Kelly, Caroline, Michaela, Nolan and Deirdre Hickey, Kelsey, Bryn and Owen Roeder, and Katherine, Christopher, Claire and Brendan Bohan Son: Dennis and his wife Catherine Kelly. Son in law: Tom Lynott and Diane's children Kathleen Wright, Eileen Zaino, Tom Lynott, and the Lynott grandchildren, Megan Wright Adler, Michael, Kelly and Kathleen Wright and Anthony T. Zaino. Son in law: Tom Nash and Claire's children, son Thomas, Virginia Bianco, Patricia Doherty, and Kevin and the Nash grandchildren Tom and Allison Nash, John, Mathew, Danielle Bianco, Coleen, Kelly and Billy Doherty and Kevin and Caroline Nash. Daughter: Lynn and her husband Fred Brandt and their children Fred, Michael, Chris, and Daniel and the grandchildren Skyler and Kaylynn, Ashley, Weston and Kianna, Tierra, and Rylie Brandt. Son: Kevin and his wife Barbara Kelly and Kevin's three children Bernadette Lane, Kevin and Patrick Kelly and the Kelly grandchildren Jessica, Jack and Jamie Lane, and Avie and Kile Kelly. Daughter: Susan and her husband Richard Kane and their children Diane Hankes and Richard Kane. Theane grandchildren Grace Hankes, Ryan, Nora and Clare Kane. In her earlier years Anita spoke often with her parents and others about the 19th Century, and recently with her grandchildren many of whom will see the 22nd century, a part of four centuries of history lived. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Hospice Care Network at 99 Sunnyside Blvd., Woodbury, NY or St. Jude's Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org.
