Jay LETHIN Obituary

LETHIN - Jay Everett, of Babylon Village, LI on April 2, 2013. Beloved husband of Maria Z. Lethin. Cherished father of Richard A. (Teri) Lethin, Peter E. (Carol) Lethin, Carol I. (Laura) Lethin, and Douglas O. (Sandy) Lethin. Loving grandfather to Harper, Saskia, Jay, Eric, Matthew, Kai, Greta, Desmond, and Penelope. Adored brother to Anton N. Lethin and the late Onnette Rhodes. Proud Veteran of the United States Navy. Prominent leader of radar technology, which he designed and installed for the Berlin Airlift, airports and the military. In later years, he became a Director of Engineering at Airborne Instruments Laboratories. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy., (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial St. Joseph's RC Church, Babylon, LI Monday, 9:45 AM. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, LI. Visiting Saturday 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Suday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
