I miss Susan every day, we were friends for decades, she introduced me to CBGB and so much else in the years I lived in NYC. I have a lot of photos of her, if you're on Facebook, there's an album of her on my Facebook page, it's set to public. The last time I saw her was when she and I and Josh Ribakove jammed at a practice studio in Queens in late June, 1989, the night before I loaded up a Ryder truck and drove it to Minneapolis, where I've lived ever since. I have a cassette recorded on a boombox from that night, I've played it a few times, but not recently.

I met Susan at a science fiction convention in 1975, and we were friends forever after. When I moved to NYC in the '80s, she introduced me to musicians and clubs, especially CGBGs, and to a whole lot of other fascinating people and places. Susan also successfully coached me through finding a cheap apartment in Astoria. I will so very much miss the incredible blaze of brilliant light and energy and good humor she brought to this world. My deepest condolences to all her family and friends.

Susan; well we started out in grammar school and continued thru high school together and then met up here and there; more than I thought was possible. Thanks for bringing me to The Ed Sullivan Show and the Soupy Sales Show otherwise I would never have gone! I think you did things in life that you really wanted to; now you are onto your heavenly reward. Till we meet in God's great glory and provision for us.........Love to you, Regina

Photos I took of Susan, with her band, and at an SF convention in the 1970s.

I've known Susan for so many decades, it's hard to believe that she's gone; harder to believe that she died a grandmother. Her many friends in the science fiction community that is called "fandom" mourn her passing, and celebrate her energetic and exuberant life, as do I.

Suzie played a large part in my life; she was kind and creative and funny and full of life. It's very hard to grasp that she's gone, but her spirit will survive as will her delightful songs. Love you, Susan...

I never met Susy, but I used to work with Edward when he lived in NH. My condolences to you all. I know, at least, her suffering is over. That is a blessing. Peace....
