TURTURRO - Joseph B., age 81, of St. James, on October 1, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Mary. Faithful companion of Doris. Loving father of Joseph Turturro, Barbara (Frank) Mondello, & Nicholas (Laurie) Turturro. Devoted brother of Dan, Joan, Marie, Virginia, & Barbara. Adored Papa of Eddie, Maria, Christina, Nicole, Casondra, & Chelsea. Cherished Great-Papa of Nicholas & Sofia. Reposing at The Branch Funeral Home, 190 East Main St., Smithtown, NY 11787. Visitation Sunday 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Service Monday 10:30am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, St. Charles Hospital Foundation Stroke Program, 200 Belle Terre Rd., Port Jefferson, NY 11777. www.branchfh.com.

He was the kind of man that we want to walk with. I believe he fought great battles in his life, he worked hard to achieve his goals, his success and we have to do the same tirelessly.
I have the greatest respect for Mr. Joe and I will miss his generous nature.
May the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead.
