James CHIRICHELLA Obituary

CHIRICHELLA - James P. "Duke" of Somerset, NJ passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and was a 40 year resident of Carle Place, NY. He retired after 30 years from the City of New York and Carle Place School District. Following his "retire- ment," he enjoyed a second career with UPSEU in Ronkonkoma, NY for 12 years. The son of the late Joseph and Josephine Chirichella, he is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Marilyn (Galeoto) Chirichella; his children, Debi Chirichella Sabino and husband Chuck; Joanne Chirichella Klouda; Joseph Chirichella and wife Carolyn; his grandchildren, Emily and Peter Klouda; Jaqui, Julia and Charlie Sabino; and Joseph and Anthony Chirichella - who all hold him close in their hearts and will miss him terribly. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Steet in Somerset, NJ and Friday, October 5, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Donohue-Cecere Funeral Home, 290 Post Avenue in Westbury NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brigid's Parish, 75 Post Avenue in Westbury, NY. Entombment will be at Holy Rood Cemetery, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, NY. www.donohue-cecere.com.
