Sharon Higgins Ott, widow of the late Louie P. Ott, Jr. died Thursday, November 10, 2016, at her residence. She was born February 15, 1943, in Russellville, a daughter of the late Thomas M. and Mary Helen Higgins. She was retired from U.S. Postal Service and a resident of Branchville, S.C., for the past 50 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Ott Funeral Home Chapel, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Thompson officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Ott Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Louie P. "Skeeter" Ott, III (Judy) of Branchville and Mary Helen Ott Wriston (Chuck) of Seneca, S.C. She is survived by her grandchildren, Lindsey and Jenna Ott, Anna McCall, Gracie, and Ella Mimms, Brynn and Karis Wriston; sister, Jackie Houchens (Carlos) of Russellville; brothers, William Higgins (Shelia) of Bowling Green, and John. B. Higgins of San Francisco and number of nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased in death by a son in law, Danny Mimms, three brothers and one sister.
