Ruby Bush Obituary
Mrs. Bush was born June 17, 1935 in Chipley, FL. She was a member of Howard's Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Jewel Horton and mother, Margie Jenkins, husband, Jerry Paul Bush; a daughter, Linda Creamer; sisters, Dorothy Mitchell, Carolyn Thornton.
Mrs. Bush is survived by a son, Glen Cooley; two daughters, Terry Didato and husband, James, Cindy Burdine all of Panama City; fifteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a brother, Curtis "Sonny" Horton and wife, Jeanne of Panama City; three sisters, Shirley Creeley and husband, Paul of Chesapeake, VA, Barbara Janosick of Hohenwald, TN and Bonnie Ingram of Webb, AL; extended family, Mildred and Clyde Bush, Edward Buckingham, John Mitchell; special friends, Liz Hughes and Lucille Schrimscher.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. today, Friday, May 13, 2011 at Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Cromer officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Wesley Theus, Eric Didato, Jay White, Shane Gilmer, Shawn Gilmer, Ryan Gomillion, Aaron Gomillion, and Chris Gomillion. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Syed Gilani and Dr. Timothy Moriarty along with all their staff, and thank you to all the nurses in the MICU at Bay Medical Center.

My deepest sympathies to Ruby's family and friends. I will always remember the good times and laughter I shared with Ruby on her porch while she was living in Howard Creek, and the calls she made to me when I moved away from Howard Creek which gave me laughter and encouragement. She was a great cook, (made a mean coconut cake,loved her southern cornbread), and best of all she was a wonderful and true friend. I will miss talking and drinking a tall glass of ice tea with her.
