Joseph Hill Obituary

Joseph Scott Hill, age 72, passed away on August 26, 2012 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC. His local memorial service and interment will be held at graveside Saturday, September 30 at 10:30 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery, 17th Street and Lisenby Avenue, Panama City.

Joe was born October 3, 1939, in Panama City, FL.He graduated from Bay County High School, Class of 1957. He attended Auburn University and graduated from the University of South Florida. He was previously employed in the beverage can manufacturing industry in Tampa, FL, Chicago, IL, New Orleans, LA, Houston, TX and Reidsville, NC. In 1985, he and his wife along with their sons started their own printing and graphics business in Greensboro, NC.

Joe was the son of the late Mary Miller and Gordon Scott Hill of Panama City, FL. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Galen Norton Hill, his brother, R. Michael "Mike" Hill, his sister-in-law, Janice Hill, his brother-in-law, Eugene G. Norton, his sons John Scott Hill and Joseph Christopher Hill, his daughters-in-law Tawhera Zalal and Nana Wolfe-Hill and grandson Archer Gage Zalal Hill.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405 or the American Cancer Society.
