Emma Wolfe Obituary

Emma R. Wolfe, 88, of Northumberland, died on March 15, 2013, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.

She was born in Pillow, on January 4, 1925, a daughter of the late Jennifer (Boyer) Witmer and the late Joseph Witmer.

Emma was employed as a Seamstress for Puritan Fashions, Millersburg.

She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Wolfe, who preceded her in death in 1973.

She was a member of Herndon Zion Church Herndon, PA, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Dalmatia Ambulance League.

Emma is survived by a son - Thomas Wolfe of Mechanicsburg, PA; daughter - Judith Steese of Northumberland, PA; brother - John Witmer of Millersburg, PA; one sisters - Naomi Stahl of Millersburg.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Pauline Wright, sister, Katherine Romberger, sister, Esther Zerbe, and Mary Kolva.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 22, from 10 to 11 a.m. at James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, with Rev. Richard Sweppenhiser, officiating.

Interment will be in the Herndon Cemetery, Herndon.

James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow is in charge of the arrangements.
