Dolores Troxell Obituary

SHAMOKIN — Dolores D. Troxell, 79, of 122 Academy St., died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, at her son and daughter-in-law's residence. She had been in ill health the past six months.

Born on Sept. 12, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Marvin Gusky and the late Effie (Zukoskie) Lutzkovetz, and a step-daughter of the late Paul Lutzkovetz.

She attended St. Stanislaus School and was a 1946 graduate of Coal Township High School.

Dolores worked as a cashier for Acme and Bi-Lo grocery stores.

She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Church, Coal Township.

She is survived by three children, a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Ralph Williams of New Oxford, and two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles W. III and Lois Troxell of York and David and Nancy Troxell of Coal Township; eight grandchildren, Adrienne (Williams) Tassou, Ethan Williams, Melanie Williams, Kaitlyn Troxell, Megan Troxell, Elyse Troxell, Kurt Troxell and Eric Troxell, and two great-grandchildren, Yanni and Olivia Tassou.

TROXELL — Dolores D. Troxell, 79, 122 Academy St., Shamokin. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Hope Church, First and Chestnut streets, Coal Township. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap. Viewing will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin, has charge of arrangements. The family will provide flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Hope Church, or to the donor's favorite charity.
