Johnny was a true sweetheart. A big loving and forgiving heart to everyone. I always thought he was correctly named after my wonderful father-in-law and his grandfather Bennett Benson who was also a gentle spirit and one of the best men I ever knew.
I am so glad for our last visit. He was feeling good and we enjoyed them so very much. John would call us every holiday, when feeling good, and if we were not home leave us the sweetest messages. Great memories and I will never forget that sweet smile and hearing him always say “I love you Aunt Ginny” when we talked. Rest in peace our sweet Johnny, till we meet again! Aunt Ginny

My dad was a wonderful person and did his best to surround himself with great people. He did such an awesome job raising us kids and ensuring we were always headed down the right path. I am so lost without my daddy as many others are, but I know he is in my heart, and always with me no matter where I go! The world is empty to me without him in it. Driving to Anchorage reminded me of him, music reminds me of him... So many good memories, I was a lucky girl to have such a GREAT daddy!

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Ruth. Every time I saw John, he had a smile on his face and nice things to say to me. His "worry" about my learning to crochet was so sweet!! Please know that I'm thinking of you.
