Alvin Braunstein Obituary
Alvin was born September 12, 1922 in Atlantic City, NJ to Joseph and Selma Braunstein. He was a Sergeant in the US Army Air Corps, and served in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a sales representative for Canada Dry Beverage Company.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Phyllis Braunstein; daughter, Ronnie Astor of Maryville, TN; son, Mark Braunstein of Woodstock, NY; step-sons, Richard Bodane of Niskayuna, NY ; Gil Bodane of Raleigh; and Andy Bodane of Raleigh; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
Alvin was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Braunstein, and grandson Benjamin Braunstein.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 6, 2010 at The Heritage Retirement Community, 1200 Carlos Drive, Raleigh, NC 27615. The family will receive friends at the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Red Cross (www.redcross.org) or The ASPCA of Wake County (www.spcawake.org).
