Barbara Denning "Bobbie" Dobson, 74, of Raleigh, died Thursday morning, June 7, 2012.
Funeral Service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday in the Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 – 3 p.m. Sunday.
A native of Harnett County, Bobbie was born May 28, 1938, the daughter of the late Pauline Salmon and Willie Almon Denning. She was baptized at and a member of Victory Fellowship Church and most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Bobbie was preceded in death by her son, Tony Seagroves; grandson, Steven K. Seagroves, Jr. and her brother, Norwood Denning.
Bobbie is survived by her husband, Eddie L. Dobson; sons, Steven K. Seagroves of Raleigh, Christopher Dobson and his wife Jennifer of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Stephanie Seagroves and Sarah Seagroves, Christopher Dobson and Caleb Dobson; sisters, Carol Chenoweth and her husband Greg, Joyce Sargent and her husband Mike, all of Garner; brothers, Willie R. Denning and his wife Pat of Texas, Larry J. Denning of Raleigh; sisters in-law, Linda, Ernie and Joyce; brother in-law, George and her mother in-law Lillie M. Dobson, all of South Carolina, and the mother of her granddaughters, Sharon M. Seagroves of Raleigh.
Arrangements are by Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, N.C. Condolences may be made at www.montlawn.com
