Bruce Wehrle Obituary

Bruce William Wehrle passed from this life suddenly on May 31, 2012, to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born Sept. 22, 1943 in St. Paul, MN. He graduated from the Univ. of Minnesota in 1968 with a Masters in Industrial Engineering and went to work at IBM in Rochester, MN before moving to Raleigh, NC in 1975. After a lengthy career at IBM, he enjoyed a second career at Electroswitch, retiring in 2009. Throughout his life, he was very involved with his church and in community services. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, and three daughters, Barbra Wehrle, Karen Tysinger (John), and Laura Oates (Jason) and eight grandchildren, Andrew, Timothy and Naomi Tysinger; Madison and Mia Noel; and Luke, Rachel and James Oates.
A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7000 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh, NC at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012. Visitation following. Memorials can be made to the Center for Volunteer Caregiving and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Joyce and family,
We are so sorry for your loss! When I think of Bruce I will always remember him taking our 3 youngest children swimming on the Saturday after Jonathan died! What a kind and thoughtful thing to do for children who were confused over the death of their brother. I will always remember the caring and loving person Bruce was even when things were tough.
