Frank J. Nigro, Jr., 47, of Raleigh, died Friday, May 7, 2010 at WakeMed following a tragic accident. He was a native of Southern Pines, born September 16, 1962 to the late, Frank J. Nigro, Sr., and Doris B. Nigro who survives him.
Frankie was an avid golfer, and tremendous UNC sports fan, but most of all he was a devoted father who was always actively involved with his children, especially supporting their sporting activities.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Donna Mulik Nigro of the home; his two beloved children; son, Cole James Nigro; and daughter, Carly Renee Nigro both of the home; his brother, Doug Nigro and wife, Debby of Sanford; and his sister, Joan Grote and husband, Steve of Montana.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 5801 Falls of the Neuse Rd. Raleigh.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an educational fund to be established for Cole and Carly Nigro, c/o; James David Mulik, 6300 Battlefield Dr. Raleigh, NC 27612.

I have not seen him much since high school, Class of 1980, but I sure remember what a wonderful person he was to all.
