Julia Isabel Barnwell of Clayton, NC, 58, died on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at 7:37 p.m. at her home.
She was born in Augusta, GA to the late Benjamin S. & Martha Louise Rich Barnwell, Sr.
Julia retired from the State of N.C. having worked in the Department of Environment and Natural Resources for 30 years. She was an Episcopalian.
Family and tradition was very important to Julia. She loved each family member in a special way.
Julia is survived by her two brothers, Benjamin Smith Barnwell and his wife Linda Gentry Barnwell of Greensboro and William Lewis Barnwell and his wife Linda Millonzi Barnwell of Fayetteville. She had three nieces, Sarah Louise Barnwell, Hannah Elizabeth Barnwell, and Bella Maria Bennett. Julia will be missed by her family and friends whose lives she touched.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Melrose Cemetery in Abbeville, SC with the Rev. Nicholas Beasley officiating.
Per her request, the family will not be having a visitation only a graveside service.
