Stan Wesner Obituary
February 5, 1946 - August 24, 2014

Stan Wesner passed away Sunday morning, August 24, 2014, at the age of 68.
Born in the Wildflecken refugee camp in Germany, Stan was the son of the late Jan and Jozefa Wesner, Polish immigrants who arrived in America in 1950.
Stan grew up in Plymouth, NC, and was a 1968 graduate of East Carolina University. He served in the US Army from 1969 to 1971. He was a Certified Public Accountant and worked for Ernst & Ernst and then in the State Auditor's Office before retiring in 2007. Stan was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and was an active member of the Legion of Mary. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, son-in-law, and uncle, and was a good friend to many.
Stan is survived by his wife, Wanda Wesner, sons Erik Wesner and Alex Wesner, both of Raleigh, brothers Ed Wesner of Chicago, Jan Wesner of Plymouth, NC, Frank Wesner of Chicago, Tony Wesner of Raleigh, sister Ann Greene of Renton, WA, mother-in-law Maria Banasiewicz of Warsaw, Poland, and numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Wesner.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 6-8pm at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Rd Raleigh NC. The funeral will be held at 2 pm Friday, August 29, 2014 at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 520 W. Holding Ave Wake Forest NC. Condolences: rfhr.com
