1941-2015
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Joanne was a loving, respected, and hard working woman. She was born in North Dakota and came to Santa Barbara in 1942. She attended Santa Barbara High School, after went to work at the General Hospital, then spent 35 years working at UCSB as manager of UCEN and all catering for UCSB.
Joanne was a woman of many talents. She loved to garden, dance, fish, and camp. Most of all she loved her children, great grandchildren, and all her nieces and nephews. Joanne attended all of her grandchildren's sport events, recitals, was involved in special activities, and would frequently taken them to feed the ducks. Joanne was most happy when she was surrounded by her family.
Joanne is survived by her three children; Robert, Terri, and Michael. As well as her grandchildren; Nicole, Madalyn, Taylor, Katrina, and Rebecca and her great grandchildren Jacob and soon to arrive, Violet.

I will miss cousin "Tootie." We had so much fun growing up together and sharing all the family celebrations and holiday dinners (especially afterward, washing the mountains of dishes in the kitchen with Karen & Gary). We would snap each other with wet towels and laugh, sing & dance and just be silly - till we all got in trouble! Those were the days, we all miss our Lee cousins; Tootie, Karen, Gary & Kathy. Let's hope they're all together laughing & being silly again.
